If you successfully complete the programme, you will have a range of opportunities in the health and social care field dependent on your choice of degree. If you complete your BA (Hons) Social Work degree, you will be able to apply to register as a social worker with Social Work England.
Entry requirements
We will consider your educational achievements, predicted grades, work experience and personal statement. If you don't meet the grades for your chosen course, we will consider you for other programmes.

Minimum qualifications:
- 64 UCAS points at A2 or flexibility for work experience
- BTEC Extended Diploma: MPP
- BTEC Diploma: MM
- Pass Access Course: 64 UCAS points
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 64 points from Higher Level Subjects
- T Level: P (D or E)
- IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5
- GCSE English C/4 English or equivalent
- Don’t have English requirements? If you have not yet completed your level 2 qualification and are successful at interview, you will be made a conditional offer based on you completing this qualification by the course start date. We can give you advice and signpost you to a local training provider such as a Further Education College in the Northwest or Training 2000 (partner organisation). The qualification can usually be achieved in a relatively short period of time.
This course involves working with vulnerable people, including children. To make sure we accept suitable students, you must get a clear enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, previously called a CRB check.
