The Lancashire Universities’ Innovation Programme is a collaborative programme funded by Burnley and Preston’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The programme is delivered by the University of Lancashire, Lancaster University and Edge Hill University.

The aim of the programme is to support businesses based in Preston with their innovation needs. Between three Universities, our support includes:

  • Innovation sprints
  • Leadership training
  • Actionable Insights Through Data programme
  • Developing prototypes
  • Product testing
  • Evidence based marketing
  • Student internships
  • Expert feedback and support from academic staff
  • Access to laboratories and facilities

The project brings together extensive industry and academic expertise, state-of-the-art facilities and technology. Together with tailored support, it will enable businesses to turn ideas into realities.

Better People Management

The programme provides research informed, industry engaged training, designed to enhance the management skills in Lancashire.

We can help your business to enhance your management capacity and capability. Our support will empower your business to promote productivity, health and wellbeing in your workforce.

When a new company joins the programme, we will complete an Innovation Roadmap to ensure we can tailor the support to their individual needs.

We also have a number of partners we are able to sign post to during and after the support received from us.

Partnerships with all types of businesses are welcome. We also welcome Community Interest Companies (CICs), and charities located within the Preston City Council postcode areas. Additionally, we have capacity to support a small number of organisations in the West Lancashire region.
